Akustica's Microphone Chips combine MEMS microphones with software and microelectronics onto a single, standard CMOS chip. Akustica's first chip, an Analog Microphone Chip, is a multi-membrane, MEMS condenser microphone with on-chip integrated capacitive sensing and voltage amplification. Engineering samples of this device are now available for customer evaluation. Development is also underway of a Digital Microphone Chip, a MEMS condenser microphone with on-chip integrated capacitive sensing, voltage amplification and Analog-to-Digital signal conversion. Engineering samples of this device are expected to be available in early-2004. |
