A veteran executive of technology companies, Mr. Rock's success as leader and entrepreneur is forged on a solid record of accomplishment across a range of corporate functional areas. His experience, passion and vision culminate in the creation of shareholder value. Prior to co-founding Akustica, Mr. Rock was a founder and Vice President with Zefer Corp. (Boston, MA), an e-business services company. During his tenure with Zefer, he successfully led the rapid development of an organization that grew to $110M in revenue during the first full year in operation, attracted $150 million in venture capital and added 800 employees and 50 Global 1000 customers. Zefer was ultimately acquired by NEC Corp. of Japan. Prior to Zefer, Mr. Rock honed his entrepreneurial skills as an executive with Cambridge Technology Partners (Boston, MA) where he lead the company's expansion into several new regions, and Carnegie Group (Silicon Valley, CA and Pittsburgh, PA) where he launched the company's west coast operations. Before entering the technology sector, he gained manufacturing and management experience with US Steel Corporation (Pittsburgh, PA) and Bayer AG (Leverkusen, Germany). Mr. Rock earned an Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering degree from Penn State University. He is an active advisor to several local and national startup companies and organizations. |
